This guy was modeled in Clay and fimo then disassembled to make single molds for each limb and the torso.
02/2005 - Dirt Devil Marquette and Rubber Cast
A Devil in Rubber
This was my first non-hobby sculpture at Spans & Partner. In a commercial the dirt-devil had to be flushed away in a toilet. since we didn't have the six month to do it with realflow, we used real water and i modeled a real dirt-devil to do the stunt.
The head and body were sculptured seperatly with fimo, a fine modeling plasticine, and then cast in silicone rubber...
the negative was then filled with red coloured silicone rubber again and there he was - ready to go down the toilet.
After shooting the little guy going down, i animated the struggeling dirt-devil in XSI which was then composited over a cleaned background. Click here to see the shot.
